We are writing to remind you of the new guidance and to request that employees upload proof of your booster shot and negative PCR test to Workday prior to returning to work. Students, who are not employed by the University should follow instructions that are included in the Med Proctor portal.

Today, I am announcing the latest phase of employee pay increases. I am pleased to inform you that the University will implement a 3 percent average staff pay raise beginning in January 2022.
We are continuing to monitor guidance from the CDC, NIH and the Department of Health regarding reporting of COVID-19 variants.
Earlier this week, Mayor Muriel Bowser announced a modification of the mask mandate in the District of Columbia, which would relax indoor mask requirements in various locations and business types.
As a result, undergraduate courses conducted the final week of classes (November 29 – December 3, 2021) will be held online as will any final examinations for undergraduate students.

Assuring that all eligible members of our community are vaccinated and complying with the public health protocols is the surest way to protect the health of the Howard University community and provide as safe an environment as possible.
Nearly 2,000 employees have uploaded vaccination documentation into Workday. We will be contacting employees directly who have not yet uploaded their vaccination records to assure compliance with the requirement.
