WASHINGTON – The Office of Residence Life & University Housing has identified a limited number of spaces for undergraduate students who may be challenged with finding off-campus housing. Students in need of housing may apply by completing the Fall 2021 housing availability request form.
“We value our students, and we understand that many students are interested in returning to the District of Columbia to continue their academic pursuits,” said Vice President of Student Affairs Cynthia Evers, Ed.D. “In an effort to support students who may have faced difficulties in securing housing, we have identified a limited number of additional housing spaces, and we invite students to apply as soon as possible.”
Interested students should complete the Fall 2021 housing availability request form that is available now. The housing availability request form will close promptly once all spaces have been filled, as spaces will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Students who do not receive a space are encouraged to visit the Office of Off-Campus Housing and Community Engagement website to seek and secure off-campus housing.
According to the Howard University student vaccination policy, all students residing in University housing are required to be fully vaccinated. Students must be prepared to show valid proof of photo identification and a fully immunized COVID-19 vaccination card upon arrival, if granted a housing assignment. A person is considered fully vaccinated 14 days after the completion of a COVID-19 vaccination series (after the second dose of a two-dose series or after one dose of a single-dose vaccine). Students who are not fully vaccinated will not be permitted to check in to the residence halls. For the safety of the Howard University community, a student who is not fully vaccinated should not arrive to campus.
