Howard University Hosts 154th Opening Convocation

The 154th Opening Convocation will be Live Streamed on September 17, 2021

WASHINGTON – Howard University is honored to host its 154th Opening Convocation on Friday, September 17, 2021 with key remarks from President Wayne A. I. Frederick and alumnus and chair of the Howard University Board of Trustees, Larry C. Morse, Ph.D. As part of changes in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s festivities will broadcast at 11 a.m. ET on WHUR 96.3 FM. During the ceremony, the livestream links for public viewing on WHUR and WHUT will be as follows:

Opening Convocation is a time-honored tradition that officially signals the beginning of the academic year. The address will welcome the Class of 2025 and acknowledge recent achievements of the University during the adversity of the COVID-19 pandemic.
