Operational Status: CLOSED

Howard University's Main and West Campus are closed to non-essential personnel. 

The University will be closed for Spring Break from Saturday, March 7, through Sunday, March 15, 2026. The campus will resume normal hours of operation on Monday, March, 16. 

• Essential Employees: Essential employees must report to campus.
• Building Access: All campus buildings will be secured and locked. Essential employees needing help accessing buildings should contact the Department of Public Safety (DPS). Researchers will continue to have access to research facilities. However, researchers must be aware that parking restrictions will be in place, and some parking lots will be closed.

Instruction:

*Note that students and employees in the College of Medicine, the College of Dentistry, the School of Law, and clinics should follow the policy set by their department.
