Dear Howard University Community,
 
We wish to inform you that, yesterday morning, President of Howard University, Wayne A. I. Frederick tested positive for COVID-19. The initial rapid test result was later confirmed with a PCR test, that also came back positive.
 
The test was administered on Thursday in adherence to the University’s COVID-19 protocols requiring weekly tests for all members of our community. "I am experiencing mild symptoms and will return to campus after our guidelines period, said President Frederick. "I'm grateful for being vaccinated and having received a booster. Please continue to stay safe and protect each other."
 
Should President Frederick experience any changes to his status, we will inform the Howard community accordingly.
