The official Howard University operational status for Monday, October 13 is CLOSED. However, some facilities and programs may remain open or have limited access. Please see details below.

Operational Details for Monday, October 13

  • Essential Employees: Essential employees must report to campus.
  • Building Access: All campus buildings will be secured and locked. Essential employees needing help accessing buildings should contact the Department of Public Safety (DPS) at (202) 806-1100. Physical Facilities Management will be available for urgent matters at (202)-806-1000.
  • Researchers will continue to have access to research facilities. However, researchers must be aware that parking restrictions will be in place, and some parking lots will be closed.

Instruction: 

  • *In-Person classes: No classes
  • *Remote classes: No classes
    *Note that students and employees in the College of Medicine, the College of Dentistry, and clinics should follow the policy set by their department.
