Dear Howard University Community,
I am pleased to announce that the decanal searches for the Cathy Hughes School of Communications (CHSOC), the Chadwick A. Boseman College of Fine Arts (CBCOFA), and the School of Social Work are underway.
Rubin Patterson, Ph.D., dean of the College of Arts and Sciences will chair the Cathy Hughes School of Communications decanal search advisory committee; Gracie Lawson Borders, Ph.D., dean of the Cathy Hughes School of Communications will chair the School of Social Work decanal search advisory committee; and Gina Brown, Ph.D., dean of the College of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences will chair the Chadwick A. Boseman College of Fine Arts decanal search advisory committee. It is important to note, in alignment with the University’s core values, that each committee is comprised of faculty, students, staff, and alumni.
We anticipate each new dean will bring leadership and vision to their respective schools and colleges while preparing students for success in all aspects of communications, fine arts, and social work.
