We are writing to update you on a few enrollment management actions that will help to improve your experience with the Office of Financial Aid, Student Accounts, and the Registrar.
Financial Aid Disbursements
If your financial aid has not yet been posted to your account, please check to ensure all of your grades have been posted prior to inquiring about an expected disbursement. Generally, financial aid disbursements are conducted once final grades are posted to a student’s BisonWeb or ePay account. Note that this process may be different for students in graduate and professional programs, as these may have academic cycles that differ from the undergraduate population.
In order to receive a financial aid disbursement, it is critical that you conduct the mandatory check-in process. Disbursements are not processed unless the student has completed mandatory check-in and validation processes for Spring 2022.
Undergraduate and Graduate Students
Since the Spring 2022 semester is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, January 18, disbursement of financial aid is scheduled to occur on Monday, January 10. If a credit balance is reflected on the student’s account, the Bursar’s Office will begin processing refunds for students and/or parents, no earlier than Tuesday, January 18 (the first day of classes.)
TouchNet (E-Pay) and Payment Plans
The delayed start of the Spring 2022 semester affects the manner in which financial aid is reflected in ePay. The balance due in ePay may not be accurately reflected for students who are eligible for Spring 2022 disbursements until Monday, January 10. Please wait to enroll in the payment plan until January 10, when your balance due will be updated as financial aid is processed.
The data discrepancy is a timing issue that is directly tied to the delay, which was implemented as part of the University’s continuing Bison S.A.F.E. pandemic response plan.
Professional School Students
Spring 2022 disbursement processing is currently underway for students enrolled in all professional programs.
We hope that this information supports greater transparency and efficiency as you prepare for your return to campus this spring.
