Dear Howard University Community,
Thank you to everyone who responded to the 2024 Howard University Community Engagement Collaborative (HUCEC) Survey.

Your participation demonstrates our community's ongoing commitment to service both on and beyond our campus. The survey results have highlighted the strong desire for participation, as well as key areas where we can expand our impact:
- Health and Wellness (e.g. public safety, nutrition, fitness, mental health, and substance abuse).
- Education (e.g. literacy, mentoring, and tutoring).
- Engagement (e.g. community participation, neighborhood leadership, and multicultural relations).
With these areas in mind, we invite you to collaborate with HUCEC and continue engaging in service-focused activities. Together, we can make an even greater impact. Some of our upcoming opportunities include:
- Mobile Health Screenings
- DC Public Schools (DCPS) and Prince George’s County Public Schools (PGCPS) Education Outreach/Enrichment Programs
- The DC Housing Authority (DCHA) Community Building Projects
- Violence Interruption/Prevention Programming
Please note, these are just a few of the many service opportunities available! To learn about additional ways to get involved or explore other programs, please reach out to Robert.johns@howard.edu and Thomas.spann@howard.edu.
