WorkHurt.co to Host Transformative Healing Forum on Workplace Resilience in Partnership with Howard University’s Center for Women, Gender, and Global Leadership

WASHINGTON, D.C. — WorkHurt.co, in partnership with Howard University’s Center for Women, Gender, and Global Leadership, will present WorkHurt to Healing: A Forum on Workplace Resilience, a first-of-its-kind experience exploring the intersections of work, health, and grief—and the power of individuals to transform workplace pain into purpose.
The forum will take place on Thursday, October 23, from 2 to 4 p.m., at Howard University’s Louis Stokes Health Sciences Library, 501 W St NW, Washington, D.C. 20059.
As burnout, inequities, and chronic stress continue to affect the well-being of employees across industries, WorkHurt to Healing offers both a mirror and a roadmap for personal and professional resilience. Designed with a focus on women, yet welcoming all, the forum will provide participants with insights based on evidence-based information and personal testimonials, guided reflections, supportive tools needed to move toward restoration and holistic well-being, and strategies to promote workplace and career empowerment.
“Howard University has always been more than a place of learning; it is a community of care, resilience and leadership,” said Anita Plummer, Ph.D., Associate Professor; Executive Director, Center for Women, Gender and Global Leadership; and Director of Graduate Studies, Department of African Studies at Howard University. “WorkHurt to Healing gives our students, alumni and partners the space to confront hard truths, find peace in shared stories and move toward wholeness with intention and community.”
Through this partnership, Howard University’s Center for Women, Gender and Global Leadership continues its mission to create transformative spaces where learning and lived experience meet—ensuring that the University and broader community have access to tools that support resilience, leadership, and well-being.
“We’ve all experienced moments when work hurts—when the pressure, inequities, or loss became overwhelming,” said Yuri Brown-Cruzat, founder of WorkHurt.co. “This experience is about giving people the tools, language, and confidence to heal and reimagine their lives. Creating spaces for healing is essential in leadership—and that’s the goal of this forum.”
Presented in collaboration with Logan PR, Trillium & Lotus Whole Body Wellness, and Tonya Overton Therapy & Wellness, is designed to offer an immersive and restorative experience. Each participant will receive a digital event booklet — a guided plan for healing that helps identify pain points, reflect on progress and take actionable steps toward balance, wellness and renewed purpose. Seats are limited. Register at: workhurt.co/register .
