Howard University’s Homecoming Game Day Yardfest to Feature DJ D-Nice, DJ Quiksilva, DJ SNS, Ruff Endz, Sunshine Anderson, Letoya Luckett, and Carl Thomas

Howard Yardfest 2024

Washington, D.C.– The second day of Howard University’s Homecoming Yardfest promises to be an outdoor house party, complete with one of the world’s most famous DJs. D-Nice will take center stage, joined by DJ Quicksilva and DJ SNS to make sure the music never stops. Hitmakers Ruff Endz, Sunshine Anderson, Letoya Luckett, and Carl Thomas will perform live. Presented by Gillette Skinguard, the 100th Howard Homecoming Anniversary version of Club Quarantine will celebrate the triumph of reunion and fellowship over the isolation of the pandemic. The event will take place on the Yard at Howard University (near the intersection of 6th Street NW and Howard Place, NW in Washington, DC) on Saturday, October 19 from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Through his unique cultural knowledge and dexterity in spinning music, DJ D-Nice became a hero of the COVID-19 pandemic. Amidst the fear and loneliness of isolation, his Club Quarantine live Instagram dance parties became rays of light and hope. More than just an unforgettable mix of songs, Club Quarantine used technology to connect people all over the world who could not physically gather and uplifted them through song.

Performing live will be several chart-topping artists. Ruff Endz hit #1 on the R&B/Hip Hop charts with “No More.” Sunshine Anderson’s “Heard it All Before” is a club and radio anthem. “I Wish,” by Grammy Award nominee Carl Thomas peaked at #3 on the R&B charts. As one of the original members of Destiny’s Child, LeToya Luckett won Grammy Awards with hits like “Say My Name,” and now is a successful actress and solo artist.

The 100th Howard University Homecoming Anniversary will be held October 13-20, 2024. The theme, “Yard of Fame” not only spotlights the leaders and trendsetters who walked the campus as Howard students and faculty before gaining international fame and prominence in almost every area of human endeavor, but also celebrates the trails to be blazed by the future alumni who are Howard students today along with the Bison who will follow in their footsteps tomorrow.
