Howard University Releases ‘I Am Howard’ Video Interview Series with Special Guests

WASHINGTON – Howard University Department of Fine Arts announces the release of a six-episode video interview series, titled “I AM HOWARD.” The series will debut on Saturday, March 6 at noon on WHUR featuring alumni Kimberly Evans Paige (B.A. ’90) and Laz Alonso (B.B.A. ’94).

“The I AM HOWARD series was conceived to highlight the value of the fine arts to professional and personal success. This collection of conversations with distinguished Howard University alumni and illustrious friends of the University proves just that – the influence of culture, arts and our voices,” said Lisa Farrington, Ph.D., associate dean of the Division of Fine Arts. “Each segment delves into our guests’ learning experiences as they have navigated their professional careers and, most importantly, how their experiences at Howard University helped prepare them for success.”

The series was produced in partnership with Brand Synergy Group and will be shared with audiences nationally in collaboration with WHUR-FM.

In the first episode, Evans Paige and Alonso discuss amongst each other the impact of Howard University, why they chose to attend, their ups and downs in their respective lanes throughout the entertainment industry, changing the narrative, and more. Each episode is to release monthly.
