Howard University to Host The Middle States HU Self-Study Town Hall On Tuesday, April 16 At 3 P.M.

Howard University will host the Middle States HU Self-Study Town Hall on Tuesday, April 16 from 3 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. in the IRB’s multipurpose room. 

Campus Only Event - Self Study Town Hall The event will offer information on the Self-Study and facilitate a discussion on the accreditation process that Howard University is committed to completing. The Self-Study is a comprehensive institutional evaluation against specified criteria determined by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, Howard University’s accrediting body.  Input from the entire campus is welcomed.  The Town Hall will highlight the roadmap that is currently guiding the University to receiving its reaffirmation of accreditation by summer 2020.

The Town Hall will be led by Rubin Patterson, Ph.D., chair of the Middle States Self Study, and Associate Provost Daphne Bernard, Ph.D. who serves as the University’s Accreditation Liaison Officer. There will also be presentations by the Chairs of Working Groups, those responsible for building evidence of compliance in seven standard areas, and other invaluable members of the Self-Study team.  Faculty, students, staff, and administrators are encouraged to make suggestions at any time during the Self-Study research and writing phases.
