Howard University Featured on the Premiere of Black News Channel’s ‘Road Trip,’ Airing this Saturday at Noon

Road Trip: The HBCU Experience

WASHINGTON –Howard University will be featured in the premiere episode of a new series by the Black News Channel. The show, titled “Road Trip,” will highlight Black culture and excellence in various forms including music, food, innovation and education. On the show’s first stop, they visit Howard University’s campus to chronicle the history, the students and the academic programs that make Howard one of the top-ranked HBCUs in the nation. 

Tune in to watch “Road Trip: The HBCU Experience” Saturday, December 4 at 12 p.m. on BNC.tv.

Featured in the episode are Howard University President Dr. Wayne A. I. Frederick; historian and digital librarian Lopez Matthews, Ph.D.; and student leaders from around campus.  

“We are excited to be included in this project that will highlight the deep history, culture and excellence of the Black community, starting with HBCUs,” said Frank Tramble, vice president and chief communications officer. “This is a fantastic opportunity to see what makes Howard students, faculty, and staff unique."
