Howard University Board of Trustees Announces Alumni Leadership Academy Inaugural Cohort

Douglass Hall

WASHINGTON - The Howard University Board of Trustees announced the selection of the inaugural cohort of the Board of Trustees Alumni Leadership Academy. The 20-person pilot cohort was selected from a robust and diverse applicant pool that showcased the excellence exemplified by Howard University alumni.

The Academy represents the third initiative to be fully developed and implemented by the University’s Board of Trustees. Along with the Trustee Candidate Identification Advisory Council (TCIAC) and the University's Board of Visitors program (BOV), the Alumni Leadership Academy aims to create more opportunities to harness Howard alumni’s passion, goodwill, and desire to remain closely connected.

The Academy will facilitate meaningful engagement between the Board of Trustees and members of the alumni community. Cohort members will participate in monthly, virtual sessions led by trustees that focus on various aspects of leadership.
