Donna Brazile and President Frederick to Talk COVID-19 During First Virtual Installment of the King Lecture Series April 2

WASHINGTON – The 2019-2020 Gwendolyn S. and Colbert I. King Endowed Chair in Public Policy Lecture Series continues with its first virtual installment, in the light of the COVID-19 pandemic, under the direction of veteran political strategist and author Donna Brazile as the Gwendolyn S. and Colbert I. King Endowed Chair in Public Policy. On Thursday, April 2, 2020, at 1 p.m., Brazile will host Understanding COVID-19 and the Impact on the Howard University Community, an informative livestream session with Howard University President Dr. Wayne A. I. Frederick, in coordination with WHUT-Howard University Television and WHUR 96.3 FM.

Amid the COVID-19 crisis unfolding both domestically and internationally, Brazile and President Frederick will engage in a timely discussion on how the virus has shifted society to a new normal and the important safety precautions members of the Howard community should be adopting to reduce the spread of COVID-19. All students, faculty and staff are invited to join the discussion via livestream at whut.org or whur.org, along with continuing the conversation on social media, using the hashtag, #KingLectureSeries.

Since 2008, the Gwendolyn S. and Colbert I. King Endowed Chair in Public Policy Lecture Series has provided students access to experienced, senior public service executives who have developed and advanced public policy initiatives. For more information, contact kinglectureseries@howard.edu
