Biography

Sarai Sales is a biology major minoring in mathematics and chemistry from Peekskill, New York. Sales aspires to achieve her MD/PhD and become a neonatal-perinatal physician scientist. Sarai’s long-term goals are to reduce health disparities surrounding adverse birth outcomes and establish timely interventions that can improve medical centers and health departments’ responses to adverse perinatal health outcomes. Sarai’s passion for STEM was ignited by her intrinsic love for mathematics and science. Eager to contribute to the Howard University’s tradition of nurturing the next generation of leaders, Sarai was attracted to the plethora of opportunities and resources this institution offers to those pursuing a career in the STEM and biomedical research fields.
