Biography
Brady Dye is a physics and political science double major, math minor from Houston, Texas. He is interested in studying the critical American public policy issue of decarbonization through the lens of Black Politics, exploring how the history of discrimination in this country necessitates race-conscious solutions to the climate crisis. His goal is to help make policy decisions that will not only fight climate change, but also ensure that our future is fairer and more just than our present. Dye chose Howard University because he wanted to experience a different environment from the predominantly white areas he lived in through high school. Additionally, Howard’s educational opportunities and proximity to Capitol Hill interested him. Dye hopes that by following in the footsteps of Black trailblazers in the policy and politics fields, he will be able to make a difference in the world and leave a legacy of his own.
