Biography
Amari Hutchins is a biology student from Mableton, Georgia, who is interested in researching different mechanisms of disease transmission and epidemiological mitigation strategies. She has always been very passionate about microbiology and epidemiological medicine. She chose Howard University because she desired to be around people who had the same views as her but also shared the same cultural background as well. Hutchins wants to promote equal public health opportunities such as increasing the integrity of healthcare providers and building stronger equity for many healthcare systems worldwide. She hopes to obtain her PhD in epidemiology and become a role model for many Black women who want to pursue a career in public health.
