Biography
Cheryl Miller is a graphic designer, Christian minister, writer, artist, theologian, and decolonizing historian known for her contributions to racial and gender equality in the graphic design field, and establishing one of the first black-women-owned design firms in New York City in 1984. She has two Honorary Doctor of Fine Arts degrees from MICA (the Maryland Institute College of Art) and RISD (the Rhode Island School of Design). She won the Howard University School of Fine Arts Distinguished Adjunct Faculty Award in 2022 for her new class titled "History of Design, a Black Perspective."
