Biography
Eric Hagerman is an inaugural member of the Karsh STEM Scholars Program and a civil engineering student from Chicago, Illinois. Innately curious since childhood, Hagerman chose engineering to fulfill his creative passion of problem solving and bringing his own ideas to fruition. He aspires to become an architect and structural engineer after attaining a graduate degree in architectural engineering. He hopes to utilize this knowledge to rebuild low-income communities and make sustainably built environments accessible to people of all socioeconomic backgrounds. On campus, Eric serves as president of the College of Engineering and Architecture Student Council and is a member of the Freshman Leadership Academy and the Howard University Chapter of the Collegiate 100.
