Biography
Not only did Howard train a majority of the Black physicians, dentists, and pharmacists in the first half of the 20th century, it's researchers and faculty pioneered treatments that have saved countless lives around the world in areas including pediatrics, blood banking, sickle cell, cancer, organ donation, dentistry, and more. Today, Howard colleges of dentistry and pharmacy are the only such colleges in the nation's capital.
