Biography
Jasmine Terrell, a proud native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, is a Biology major with a triple minor in Chemistry, Psychology, and Health Education (Maternal and Child Health). She aspires to obtain a PhD investigating the underlying biological mechanisms responsible for the development, progression, and persistence of diseases primarily affecting women. Jasmine’s journey in research has taken her to distinguished institutions such as Children’s National Hospital, MD Anderson Cancer Center, and the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. Currently, she conducts intensive HIV research as part of the CFAR Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Pathway Initiative. Beyond the laboratory, Jasmine is deeply motivated to uplift underrepresented communities. As she continues her academic journey, Jasmine Terrell envisions herself becoming a beacon of inspiration for the next generation of leading researchers while contributing to groundbreaking research within the STEM community.
