WHUR Hosts Daily Drum Special: Coronavirus in the DMV

WHUR Town Hall, Coronavirus Town HallWASHINGTON – Today Howard University’s flagship radio station, WHUR, will host a special town hall discussion on its nightly evening show The Daily Drum about the threat of coronavirus as it grows closer to a direct hit on the DMV. “Coronavirus in the DMV: Your Health, Your Money, Your Travel” will air live on Thursday, March 12 from 7-8pm. The special town hall will take an in-depth look at how area residents should be preparing for the worst while hoping for the best.

The special segment will engage a panel of experts who will breakdown general information about COVID-19 as well as how listeners can stay safe and be prepared. Additionally, the panel will discuss how race and fear plays a factor in the coronavirus, how it has impacted the economy, and more.
