Howard University Title IX Office Gains New Leadership

WASHINGTON – Howard University is pleased to announce the appointment of Jessica White as director of the Title IX Office and Angie Logan-Pope as assistant director of the Title IX Office. White will be responsible for the Title IX Office and the University’s Title IX program with the assistance of Logan-Pope.

“We are very pleased to welcome Ms. White as the new director of the Title IX Office,” said Anthony K. Wutoh, Ph.D., provost and chief academic officer. “Under Ms. White’s direction and with the assistance of Mrs. Logan-Pope, Howard University will continue to create safe and inclusive spaces. Under their leadership, the office will strengthen its efforts to educate and train the community on issues of sexual assault, while ensuring oversight and enforcement of the University’s Title IX policies.”

White joins Howard University from the University of the Sciences (USciences) in Philadelphia, where she served most recently as the Title IX and equal opportunity coordinator. Her previous roles at the USP included director of student conduct and grievance. She has been involved in the adjudication of Title IX cases since 2009 when she served as the coordinator of student conduct, Title IX investigator and associate director of the Office of Equity & Inclusion at the University of Delaware. White earned a bachelor’s degree in educational studies from University of Delaware and a master’s in education in student affairs from University of Delaware.

Logan-Pope joined Howard University in 2018 as Title IX investigator. Most recently, she has served as interim Title IX coordinator. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the College of Charleston and a master’s degree in forensic studies from Stevenson University. Howard University welcomes White to the Title IX Office and congratulates Logan-Pope on her promotion.
