Howard University Law School to Host Nineteenth Annual Wiley A. Branton Symposium

Wiley Branton Symposium 2022

WASHINGTON - The Nineteenth Annual Wiley A. Branton/Howard Law Journal Symposium will be held ThursdayOctober 6, 2022, 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m. at Howard University School of Law, in person and live-streamed via Zoom.

The symposium seeks to create a space where legal scholars can discuss topics such as: immigration equality; the effect of the recent immigration policies on marginalized communities; the future of immigration equity legislation and litigation; and other timely topics.  Joining us this year as the keynote speaker is Marc H. Morial, current president and CEO of the National Urban League, 59th mayor of New Orleans, and former Louisiana senator.

In this time of global pandemic and uncertainty, the symposium promises to be an enriching and motivating event, where participants can engage with dedicated scholars and the broader Howard University School of Law community.

The symposium will consist of three panels, a video presentation, and a keynote address.
