Bison Week 2021: Welcome Class of 2024 and 2025

Bison Week 2021

WASHINGTON – Howard University Office of Campus Life will welcome incoming students to campus for Bison Week 2021, Aug. 15 –22. For one week, incoming freshmen and sophomores will be encouraged to participate in a range of social activities to introduce them to Howard's vibrant campus life.

"After this challenging year, the Division of Student Affairs looks forward to the energy and excitement our new students will bring to the campus. We are ready to welcome students who were not able to be on campus last year and are experiencing Bison Week for the first time," said Cynthia Evers, vice president of Howard University Division of Student Affairs. "This full slate of academic and social events will help students get prepared for the academic year. We want all of our new students to feel like Howard is their home."

Howard University has worked diligently to put forth policies and procedures to ensure a safe, fun, and welcoming environment for students. Health and safety guidelines include mask-wearing, directional signage to control traffic, and sanitation stations for student use. Students will need to complete screening on the Bison Safe app and have their Bison ID to be admitted into all events. To keep the community safe, all Bison Week events will remain closed to the public. Unlike past years, parents, guests, and other family members will not be able to participate.
