Tarik Brooks, President of Combs Global, to Visit Howard University School of Business for Fireside Chat

WASHINGTON – On Thursday, February 23 at 3 p.m., the Warner/Blavatnik Center for Music Business will host a master class featuring Tarik Brooks (B.A. ’97), President of Combs Global. Brooks also serves as the center’s executive in residence, providing mentorship to the center’s five fellows. The center will host the event in partnership with Howard University’s Undergraduate Student Assembly (UGSA), Student Communications Council, and School of Business Executive Council. The talk will take place in the School of Business’ second floor auditorium.

The day of activities will include a private lunch with the center’s five fellows followed by a mini lecture and private question-and-answer session available to selected students. Following the master class, Brooks will host a VIP reception with UGSA, Student Communications Council, and School of Business Council. 

The center’s fellowship program provides fellows with coaching, specialized curriculum, mentorship and hands-on industry experience while working with influential partner organizations. TheWarner/Blavatnik Center also provides engaging programming for all members of Howard University and the broader community to participate in, including guest lectures, business case competitions and more. 

As president of Combs Global, all business operations and investments are owned by Sean “Diddy” Combs, including Ciroc, AquaHydrate, Bad Boy and Revolt. Prior to Combs Enterprises, Brooks was the Chief Operating Officer of the Account Management and Trading department at the global investment management firm Bridgewater Associates. He previously served as the executive vice president at RLJ Companies, where he led the development of several businesses including gaming/nightlife ventures in the Caribbean and the completion of RLJ Kendeja, a resort hotel in Monrovia, Liberia.
